OMG!!! THat is hilarious!! At first I thought Oscar attacked Jake, but when I realized the buttons were gone I couldn;t stop laughing. Every time I look back at it I have to chuckle. Sorry for laughing at you loss but that was hella funny!

LOL I bet it's kinda frustrating, I fried a remote by getting it wet and forgot to take the batteries out while it dried - ooops! And yours is still sorta intact, just button-label-less! ACK! Jake is really cute, though. I really like your improv on the eyes!

It's so funny, the first two pics your remote have un-chewed buttons, and the bottom one is so gnawed up!

Too cute, Shirley! I love your creations.

He is fantastic!!!!!poor jealous Oscar!! Not suprising though Jake is adorable.... I want one to hold everything... It's such a pity toothbrushes get wet.

I would love to find out a bit more about you... so if you have the time and the inclination... you are it. http://littlegreen.typepad.com/romansock/about-me.html

He's very cute! The pattern is still available at http://www.freepatterns.com/list.html?criteria=jake. (If that doesn't work, just search for Jake in the search box on the home page.)

Dalia

My rabbit made the same thing to my remote control, but only eat 4 buttons... :o)

I'm trying to make a pirate version of Jake for an exhibition - not sure how he'll turn out as I want him to sit up - just realising now that I'm nearly done that I should have found a sitting cat pattern to start with!!

Any suggestions as to how to adjust the pattern? Probably need to change his legs shape.. want to give him a stump and hook and pirate patch (arrrr) ;)

Would love to hear from you - your site is so inspiring :)

Thanks!!

Hi- A couple of years ago I made Jake as a gift for my grandmother when her old black & white cat died. I made mine in black & gray because those were the colors that I had and he was just as adorable.

I see you've made the "baby it's cold outside" baby sweater too. So sweet and I love the hat you made to go with it. I made several of those when I was laid out in bed with a bad back and unable to sit or stand for more than a few minutes. Each of the sweaters I crocheted came out looking a bit different. I must have made a dozen sweaters & at the time I didn't know anyone expecting a baby, so I gave them to a friend to donated them to a local hospital, that gives them to new parents in need. It was a enjoyable way to use up some of my yarn stash.

rdhtdshrteu6ydytduiyetret It's so nice to see you crafting and posting again! I think the knitted pizza slice really completes the set - so cute! Fun to see crochet and knit together, so few people are interested in both, it seems!
